
My Story
I’m a Registered Nurse, a Reiki Master Teacher Practitioner, a Certified Holistic Nurse & Coach, a Certified Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Practitioner, have a Master’s of Public Health with Specialization in Nursing, and RN for 25+ years. All of my work is evidence-based and provided under my Ontario nursing licence.
My experience varies from long-term care; psychiatric nursing; public health working with mothers, families, and children; home care nursing including palliative care; instructing nursing students; leading and teaching meditation groups; holistic nursing, and holistic coaching.
I am a Nurse, a mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, neighbour, and friend. I have always helped others, am an expert in holding space for people, and promoting well-being.
I was my mother’s primary caregiver for many years as she had dementia and physical ailments. I have juggled working as a nurse, being a caregiver, raising kids, being married, and being the glue for my extended family. I am familiar with caregiver burnout.
Several years ago, I no longer could juggle all my responsibilities, I was broken, felt stuck, and depressed. Although at the time, it was very stressful, it was the best thing that ever happened to me. This is when I had my awakening. I started my journey to be a Holistic Nurse and Coach that includes hands-on Reiki energy healing and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Tapping. I began to meditate, practice self-care, and discover my true self.
Complementary therapy, including Coaching, Reiki, and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Tapping, fittingly enhances Western medicine. Complementary therapy is non-invasive, has minimal risks, and positively affects your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
Finding community and support helps one find their purpose, enhances coping with whatever life throws at you.
I am passionate about Holistic Nursing and Complementary Therapy and what it can offer. Now I am here as a facilitator to help you with your healing, your purpose, and your well-being.

What is a Holistic Nurse & Coach:
Deep listeners who are Registered Nurses (RNs) that skillfully promote health, wellness, and well-being, who are truly caring, authentic, and supporting in a non-judgmental way. We will work on what is important to you and help improve your health, well-being, and outlook.
Coaching for your Mind, Body & Spirit by facilitating behaviour and mindset change, balancing energy, and preventing dis-ease while creating a warm, safe environment and encouraging self-care.
During our sessions, I may use complementary safe therapies such as:
Reiki / Hands-on Energy Chakra Balancing
Using my hands as a conductor or facilitator of energy, it promotes balance and flow of energy throughout the chakra system. By putting hands on or close to your clothed body, your body will experience a balancing of energy. It will positively affect your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Tapping / EFT
Tapping or Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a way of settling the nervous system while reframing thoughts into a positive way. Tapping can release pain and blocked emotions. I will teach you where and how to tap on your body while speaking out loud to reframe your thoughts.
Meditation
Meditation connects you to your breath. It helps to positively affect your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. I will guide you through this grounding and centering technique, which can reduce stress, control anxiety, promote health, enhance self-awareness, lengthen attention span, generate kindness, improve sleep, help control pain, decrease blood pressure, reduce age-related memory loss, and may help address addictions.
Mindfulness
I can teach you to be mindful or aware of your senses and become present. This technique can reduce stress, control anxiety, promote health, enhance self-awareness, lengthen attention span, reduce age-related memory loss, generate kindness, help with addictions, improve sleep, help control pain, and decrease blood pressure.
Self-Care
Self-care is a set of behaviours that positively affect your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. I will teach you these behaviours, which may include meditation, practising gratitude, being mindful, journaling, laughing, self-acceptance, self-love, eating healthy, establishing connections, getting adequate exercise, and sleep.
Intention Setting
Setting intentions helps you to change your thoughts / actions to what you want. Our thoughts become our truths. I will teach you how you can set your own intentions.
Behavioural / Habit Change
I can work with you to change your habits. Often, we want to eat better, exercise more, drink or smoke less, but find it hard to change these behaviours or habits. Often, if we have some support and coaching, we can be successful.
Nature Bathing
It does not mean bathing or getting wet. Simply explained, nature bathing means being outside. I will go with you for walks in parks or sitting by the lake, accessing nature. Our interaction with nature can be as simple as being beside a tree or grass. So no worry about your fitness levels. I accommodate all people and levels of fitness. Being in nature can reduce stress, control anxiety, promote health, enhance self-awareness, lengthen attention span, may reduce age-related memory loss, generate kindness, may help with addictions, improve sleep, help control pain, and can decrease blood pressure.

I can come to your group or workspace to do an information session regarding self-care, resiliency, energy work/Reiki, meditation, and/or mindfulness.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient hands-on, gentle healing technique, rooted in Japanese tradition, which channels universal life force energy to promote balance and flow of energy throughout the human energy fields. Reiki is safe and is a non-invasive therapy. Reiki treatments are holistic and positively affect physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Reiki is a spiritual practice; it is not a religion and has no dogma. Being attuned to Reiki will assist you to support your own well-being or help others. There are three distinct levels, with the last level divided into two parts.
Reiki Level 1 for Self-Care
Focus: Self-healing & physical healing
Reiki Level I is all about awakening the healing energy within you. By the end of the class, you will have all the background to know how to use Reiki for yourself through hands-on techniques.
What you learn:
- The origins and philosophy of Reiki
- The Five Reiki Principles
- Basic hand positions
- How to sense and feel energy
- Grounding and protection techniques
- Human Energy Fields
- Ethics and boundaries for practitioners
Key feature: You receive your first attunement, which opens your energy channels to connect with Reiki energy and enhance your self-care practice.
Goal: To begin using Reiki for physical healing, relaxation, and emotional balance — primarily for yourself and those close to you.
Reiki Level 2 to become a Practitioner
Focus: Mental, emotional healing, distance healing, and expanding your practice. Reiki Level 2 introduces the use of symbols to deepen your healing work. You’ll also learn how to send Reiki across distance and time, and begin working more confidently with others.
What you learn:
- Three sacred Reiki symbols (for power, mental, emotional healing, and distance healing)
- How to perform distant Reiki sessions
- Advanced techniques for emotional and mental balance
- Cultural and religious considerations
- Three Pillars of Reiki
- Human energy fields
- Ethics and boundaries for practitioners
Key feature: A second attunement further refines your energy, allowing stronger flow and deeper healing.
Goal: To become a certified Reiki Practitioner, ready to offer sessions to others.
Reiki Level 3 to become a Reiki Master Practitioner
Focus: Spiritual growth, teaching, and mastery. You’ll receive the Master Symbol, which enhances your ability to channel healing energy.
Reiki Level 4 to become a Reiki Master Teacher Practitioner
Focus: Spiritual growth, teaching, and mastery. You’re deepening your spiritual journey and learning to pass Reiki on to others through attunements. You’ll also receive the Master Symbols for Attunements, which enhances your ability to channel healing energy.
What you learn:
- The Master Symbol and its uses
- Advanced techniques and intuitive Reiki
- How to give attunements to others (for those on the Teacher path)
- How to teach Reiki (for those on the Teacher path)
Key feature: The final attunements raise your vibration to the Master level, enhancing your spiritual connection and healing ability.
Goal: To fully embody Reiki as a way of life, to become a certified Master Reiki Practitioner and optionally guide others as a certified Master Reiki Teacher Practitioner.

2. Online Group Support for Nurses Who Provide Complementary Therapies
Nurses who integrate complementary therapies into their practice often bring a more holistic, patient-centered approach to care—but they can also face unique challenges, including limited support, professional isolation, and the need for ongoing education. A dedicated community offers a space where nurses can connect, share knowledge, and feel supported in their work.
This platform is designed to foster collaboration among nurses who use therapies such meditation, Reiki, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) tapping, and other integrative practices. Members can exchange experiences, resources, discuss evidence-based approaches, and stay informed about best practices and emerging research.
By building a strong, supportive network, this community empowers nurses to enhance their skills, advocate for integrative care, and improve patient outcomes—while also prioritizing their own well-being and professional growth.
This support group is facilitated by me, Margarita Weaver RN who is a certified Holistic Nurse who uses daily complementary therapies. The group is open to all nurses, regardless of experience in complementary therapies.
It involves a guided meditation, then discussion of what is brought to the group.
